Our little badger had his first laugh about a week ago. Our friend Mike found out that tickling his chin makes him laugh. I wasn't there but I hear it was quite cute. Since then I've gotten him to giggle a bit by tickling his tummy. It works better in the morning when he's in a good mood.

I babysat for the first and second times this week too. The first was while Laura was out with her PEPS group ladies. Me and about 7 other dads were there with our babies. I was a little scared because unlike the other dads, I had never really been alone with him for more than a few minutes.

It wasn't too bad, but we had our moments. I couldn't get him to take a bottle and he kept wailing while everyone else was trying to talk. But, he was only about the fifth baby to do that so I didn't feel too bad.

The other time was today for about 4 hours. This went even better. We watched the Badgers win which was fun. He took two naps and ate once. He likes taking the bottle from the car seat for some reason. Hey, whatever works.

He seems to be trying to roll over, but hasn't gotten there yet. He is getting a very sunny and happy personality, but then look at who his folks are.

As you can see above, Christian has found his hands. He will suck on them from time to time when there is no pacifier available. He has also started talking, especially when we read to him.

He continues to get bigger, although at a slower rate now. He is still small for his age. But for us, he seems to have gotten huge. It is amazing to think that nearly all of his size gain came from breast milk, although we did use formula as a supplement in his early days. We also have to vitamin supplement to make sure he gets his "D". Vitamin D is the new Vitamin C, if you haven't heard.

Thanks to everyone who donated to my ride for the cure! If you haven't yet, there is still time. Just follow the link to the right.
