Canoeing at Remlinger Farms

Pony ride

Pony ride again.

This is us at Remlinger Farms a couple weeks before Halloween. Since mom and dad paid 15 bucks to get in Christian had to ride the ponies twice whether he liked it or not.

And anyone who believes we are born tabula rasa is way off. We went into a haunted house and it scared the pants off him. Cruel dad that I am, I took him through anyway, probably scarring him for life. But I couldn't understand it - Why would he be scared? He's never had any experience that would make him scared of haunted houses. It was just a little dark with wolves howling and a couple of displays of wild animals which really weren't even that scary. It makes me think that we are born scared of certain things.

Being nice dad again, (and nice mom always) we took him on several rides and he also got to enjoy a huge hay stack for jumping into. Now there's one thing he's NOT afraid of - jumping from heights. We'll have to watch that. We also indulged in some flavored popcorn and candied apples. The usual Halloween stuff.

Next post probably sometime after Christmas.

Oh and Laura is pregnant again, and this is not just to see if you're paying attention.

Wow little brother - made me click on my dictionary icon and learn a new word! Whew!! I loved it. My humble opinion is that as soon as egg and sperm get together there is much more going on than just zipping together of mom and dad's dna, a whole lot of other stuff gets zipped into us - that has to do with all of humanity. Now perhaps I should practice a little tabula rasa myself. Thanks for the update - hope its a girl!
peace and love and happy belated thanksgiving, janice
