We are spending Thanksgiving in Tulsa with my folks. The middle pic above is from just last night right before dinner. We defied Bumbo rules and made him the centerpiece of the dinner table. He has a Don Corleon kind of look in that pic. The top is just him laughing, which is more and more frequent. Sooner or later I need to get a video of him laughing, because his laugh is just hilarious.
And Laura decided we needed a "naked baby" pic of him so that's the bottom one. I'm aware he's not technically naked, but, you just can't trust a naked boy baby. He has taken to standing like this, with help, a lot lately. He likes this just about more than anything.
He travels well, which is good for mom and dad. The flight attendants just couldn't leave him alone, which is good if you want extra pillows or coffee. And in the Williams Sonoma store yesterday I thought that the clerks there were going to take him home. If I'd known that babies got you this much attention I'd have had one a lot sooner.
As you can see in the top picture above, Christian is now grabbing things and putting them into his mouth. He isn't quite yet reaching for things, but he will grab stuff that is put in his lap or on his belly and pull it up to his mouth.
The middle two pics were kind of staged, obviously, but are pretty funny any way. We were sitting there watching the Seahawks win and Laura thought we looked funny there on the couch together so took the photo. The wet spot on his shirt is due to the copious quantities of drool that constantly leak from his mouth. We actually bought the little gray turtleneck with the intent of him being "mini-me" for Halloween, however, I didn't find a cheap Dr. Evil costume so it never quite came to be.
The bottom pic was just a few minutes ago. He is quite the charmer. I have to run. Laura is babysitting another kid so I need to help.
Hey Christian fans. Sorry it took so long to update this page. Between the JDRF ride, (see www.kincaderideforthecure.blogspot.com) and problems with my internet connection, I've had a hard time updating this page. I tried two or three times and kept getting failure messages. Hopefully, this one will work.
Grant and Krissy, as you can see, we liked the bumbo so much we bought one ourselves. See the second picture down. He seems to like it, as it makes him feel like big people. The warning says don't put on elevated surfaces. We've broken that rule a few times.
Christian has now partied in Vegas (third picture down) and as you can see in the top picture above, he has a girlfriend. We've got to slow this kid down a bit. The fourth picture was taken just a few minutes ago. He's always in a much better mood in the mornings. This morning he went to Starbucks with dad and made a lot of fans.
I'm off to help a friend tile so I have to go. Further updates, provided my internet connection is OK, will be more frequent. I'm shooting for once a week.
