Christian, age 1; Laura, age 30; Tree, age 700

Twin falls

First hike

Eating yogurt with a spoon!

As you can see above, Christian is now feeding himself with a spoon. He doesn't get much food per bite, but he's getting better. The bowl you see is suctioned to the tray, however, that doesn't stop him when he's feeling strong. One good tug and the yogurt is flying.

We went on a hike to the Twin Falls this Sunday. It was a short hike, good for families and kids. There were even a few hikers with babies younger than Christian. And in case you think I was being mean by having Laura carry Christian, she did ask to carry him. He even did a little hiking by himself, as you can see by the video above. He had a little trouble at first heading the right direction. He kept wanting to go back the other way. But he got it figured out eventually.

He now says "uh oh" whenever he drops something, or when he falls, both of which happen a lot.

Christian's preferred method of getting from point A to point B is walking. Being the doting dad, I have, of course, taken enough video of him walking to create an epic miniseries, but I will try and choose the best one or two here. It will also demonstrate my wonderful parenting skills, as you see him walking around with one sock on, and one bare foot, as well as almost electrocuting himself, and eating something off the ground. Enjoy!:
